Precision and Low Impact Mining is a newly activated focus area part of MRIWA’s Research Priority Plan, which supports mining research which advances technologies, provides clean energy solutions and responsible practices to optimise resource extraction and management, minimise environmental disruption and uphold social values.
An integral piece of work in advancing this focus area is capturing the technologies considered to be low impact and precision mining currently used in mining, as a single source of truth. The student will work with MRIWA to scope out the piece of work and its inputs, intending to be used for public consumption.
