To be eligible for a Full or 3/4 model project, students must:

Degree Requirements (Be Enrolled In)

Bachelor’s with Honours
– Ready to commence their final Honours year.
– Have completed at least 144 credit points.
– Additional eligibility criteria may apply for specific research units.

Master’s by Coursework
– Ready to commence their Masters thesis year.
– Have completed at least 24 credit points at Level 4/5.
– Additional eligibility criteria may apply for specific research units.

Enrollment Requirements

– Not have previously completed a research project (thesis) or research unit within their current degree.
– Enrol in their degree’s designated research project units, undertaken over two consecutive semesters (12 credit points in total).
– Meet all academic and assessment requirements associated with the research project unit.

Additional Eligibility

– CEED projects are open to both domestic and international students.
– Students may be enrolled on either a full-time or part-time basis.

To be eligible for an Employee Model project, students must meet all of the requirements listed above, and additionally:

– Receive remuneration from the client that exceeds the standard CEED 3/4 studentship value ($7,500) over the two academic semesters of the project (excluding vacation periods).
– Undertake a project that directly relates to the client’s business or operational needs.

It is essential that scholars are allocated sufficient time within their existing employment arrangements to undertake their project. Where this cannot be accommodated, it is recommended that the project proceed under the standard 3/4 Project Model to compensate the scholar for the additional time required.

To be eligible for a HDR project, students must:

– Be currently enrolled in a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) program (PhD or Master’s by Research)
– Must maintain active enrolment for the duration of the project.
– Have successfully completed their first milestone.
– Obtain initial approval from their supervisor(s) to apply for a CEED project.
– Be either a domestic or international student.
– Project placements to be undertaken as Full Time over 3 months or Part Time over 6 months

If selected for a CEED project, HDR students will be required to formally lodge their intention to undertake the project through the HDR student portal. Formal supervisor approval is then provided as part of this process.
