DESCRIPTION:

Epura Filtration System – Epura, a cutting-edge engine and cabin filtration technology already proving transformative in Australia’s mining sector with trials currently in effect with Teir One Mining organisations (i.e. Rio Tinto)

The project will involve working with Tier One Mobile Equipment Maintenance teams in the Western Australia Pilbara iron ore division.

The project proposal is to document the performance of the new technology whilst providing a comparative assessment against current technologies in the market.

This innovative product is specifically designed to lower maintenance costs, enhance operator safety, and minimise equipment downtime.

Performance Scope:

  • Understand the mechanical benefits of the system over a 12-month period, specifically related Heavy Mining Equipment (HME)
    – Oil use
    – Fuel consumption
    – Filter maintenance
    – General maintenance reduction
    – Potential financial implications and cost saving analysis
  • WHS Assessment and improvements
    – Cabin pressure and air quality improvements
    – Compliance with ISO 28375
    – Maintenance reduction and associated WHS risk mitigation
