It is a condition of the Water Corporation’s state-wide clearing permits that areas of temporary clearing are to be revegetated. Often for smaller or linear sites we propose that this is done via means of natural revegetation – that is, re-spreading topsoil and then mulching and re-spreading cleared vegetation.

It would be good to determine how successful this approach is, in terms of density, biodiversity and condition.

Furthermore, it would be good to identify any ways that we could set these sites up for greater success in regeneration.

Note – to access Water Corporation sites, the appointed student will need to have received their first dose of COVID vaccine by 31 December, and their second by 31 January 2022. This is a requirement for all contractors working on Water Corporation sites. A vaccination certificate will need to be presented at Water Corp induction.
